An effective
combination of

phonetics,

pedagogy, and
speech science

Powerful

new teaching methods

The sMiles program takes time-tested principles of teaching and enhances them with contemporary knowledge of literacy development to create an effective curriculum.

Our goal is to encourage self-learning, confidence, and achievement-focused motivation in students.

sMiles

is different!

Founded in the science of phonetics and speech development, sMiles presents a unique approach to phonics that uses sound-cueing in the form of color-coding and hand actions, which simplifies the identification of sounds and makes reading easy.

Every learning activity is creatively tailored to grasp the attention of young learners and build more comprehensive literacy skills.

Integrates across subjects

Learning across subjects establishes new connections, strengthens familiar associations, and improves vocabulary.

Uses multiple intelligences theory

In addition to linguistic intelligence, the program also develops cognitive, emotional, and social intelligence.

Captures interest with storytelling

Fun activities are used to hold attention and improve retention as well as build comprehension, self-expression, and creativity.
